From World Servants to Advance Mission
Over 30 years ago, we began as World Servants, driven by a simple yet powerful vision: to engage churches and individuals from the United States in serving communities around the world. Our early work focused on meeting tangible needs—building schools, churches, medical clinics, and clean water wells in remote villages. Alongside construction, our teams participated in Vacation Bible School-style programs, worship services, and local outreach activities, forming early bridges of friendship and faith.
These experiences revealed something profound: while the structures we built were essential, the most lasting impact came from the relationships we formed. A building may eventually deteriorate, but the bonds between people—the trust, care, and shared growth—endure for a lifetime.

Why We GO
This insight shaped the evolution of our organization into Advance Mission. Our mission today goes beyond constructing buildings—it’s about building people, communities, and relationships. We partner with local leaders, churches, and communities, serving alongside them to meet both spiritual and practical needs.
We believe that every mission experience should transform everyone involved. Participants return home not only with memories of service but with a deeper understanding of global needs, a stronger faith, and a heart for serving others. At the same time, the communities we serve are strengthened, encouraged, and supported in ways that honor their dignity and culture.

Our Approach
At Advance Mission, every project begins with a conversation. We listen, learn, and seek to understand the needs and dreams of the communities we serve. From digging wells in Kenya, to supporting schools and providing dental care in the Dominican Republic, to engaging in community outreach in Costa Rica, our goal is the same: to advance God’s Kingdom through people, not just projects. Together, we build lasting partnerships that bring hope, opportunity, and transformation.
